Chicken with Honey Sauce

Hello again!
Today is 8th January, which means (indirectly) the starting of the second week and time for a new entry in my blog, that is the yummy and juicy recipe of "Chicken with Honey Sauce", which is also the lucky winner of last week's poll, unfortunately there was a tie between the "Indian Dosas" and "Crispy Onion Rings" therefore they are subjected to be entered sometime later in near future; on cafe 7 n 8, by the way you didn't mention how did you like the cake??
As for the honey sauce chicken, truly its as tasty as its simple; I made it a few months back on my sister's birthday, and it turned out just... yummm... If you don't believe me try it for yourself.

Chicken with Honey Sauce

Ingredients:

3 kg              frying chicken, cut into pieces
2 cups           flour
Chicken with Honey Sauce
1/2 cup         bread crumbs
4 tsp             salt
1/2 tsp         pepper
1/4 tsp         paprika
1 1/2 cups    butter
1/2 cup        honey
1/2 cup        lemon juice

Method:
  1. Prepare the mixture of flour, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and paprika and toss the chicken in the mixture. Set aside.
  2. In a large baking dish melt half of the butter in hot oven (approx 400°F) for a few minutes, making sure it doesn't brown. next remove the baking dish from the oven and layer the flour covered chicken(skin side down) in the baking dish, covering it completely with butter.
  3. Bake for half an hour and then turn chicken, adding the remaining 1/2 cup butter, melted honey and lemon juice.
  4. Bake for another half an hour or until fork tender, basting frequently with the honey sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve Hot!
Tip:
You can even substitute lemon juice with fresh juice from naval oranges and add raisin and toasted almonds  for richer texture and taste.
