Salad Croutons with Italian dressing

phew! winter is finally over in this part of the country, and wonderful spring flowers are to be seen every where, but this has nothing to do with the amazing and refreshing recipe of Salad croutons with Italian dressing,
By the way who said stale bread is useless?? why you might wanna think again... after trying this recipe, that is to say.I learnt about it as man learnt about fire, in simple words by accident, it happened so when i was browsing through the internet for some bread recipe but found this instead as a redirect and blah blah blah and without further adieu here's Salad croutons with Italian dressing.

Salad Croutons with Italian dressing

Ingredients:

salad crouton with Italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • baby tomatoes or fresh tomatoes cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 5 slices white bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For Italian dressing: 
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 3/4 cups (180 ml) olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh oregano
Method:


Prepare Italian dressing by combing all the ingredients in a screw top jar and shaking it well, set aside.
While in a large salad bowl, combine the butter, Italian dressing and garlic powder. Add bread cubes and tomatoes, toss to coat. Next arrange in a single layer on an greased baking sheet and sprinkle heartily with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 325 degrees F for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and croutons turn golden brown, stir only if necessary. and what are you waiting for now, go and munch up your delicious salad, NOW! oh wait, don't forget to come back and tell me how was it... tata

  1. i did came back :) to tell you it tastes just buttery...though i didnt add olive oil, i think it tasted even better
